2. Karts are simple to work on –

To take up go karting is good fun for kids and adults, you could invest in a basic tool kit and learn simple mechanic skills. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to maintain your own kart throughout a racing season. In theory, you could race and repair your kart on your own, or at the very least have a modest pit crew helping you out because karts are really easy to run and repair.

All you need is a van, pick-up truck or small trailer and you’ll be able to transport your kart to various events throughout the season.

4. It’s relatively cheap –

Buy a cheap second-hand kart to begin, look for special offers on racing wear and racing a kart is cheaper than you think. It’s one of the cheapest forms of motorsport especially when you compare it to the Formula Ford series or something similar.

5. It’s perfect for honing track skills –

Karting is a brilliant starting point if you want to become a professional racing driver. Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and most Formula 1 drivers started out in karts and look where it led them!
